Founded in 1953, International House was a pioneer of language teacher training, organising the first training courses for English teachers, and has always been at the forefront of teacher development. Even the renowned Cambridge University CELTA course – Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults – is based on the IH Certificate, created by International House.
In line with its philosophy and tradition, International House Milan periodically organises intensive and extensive CELTA courses based on theoretical and practical input. At a global level, language teachers trained by our organisation are considered the most expert, creative and authoritative in their profession.
International House offers its teachers ongoing development and learning, based on observations of class lessons, seminars, refresher courses, and workshops at the schools throughout the world and at headquarters in London. At International House Milan we offer a wide range of courses for both new and experienced teachers, covering General English, Business English, Young Learners and other areas.

DELTA
Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
The ideal course for experienced English teachers who want to deepen their understanding of the English language and improve their career opportunities.
In the European Union, the Delta is the only English language teaching qualification that is equivalent to a master’s or professional diploma.
